Our Story
The Venue at Ballenger Bridge, originally an 1820s grist mill, has evolved into a breathtaking wedding venue nestled on 35 acres by the Middle Tyger River. After falling into neglect, Alan and Jennifer Zordan purchased the property in 2017, bringing new life to its historic charm. With Alan’s business acumen and Jen’s event planning expertise, they revitalized the venue, blending its rich history with modern touches. Today, Ballenger Bridge stands as a testament to the Zordans’ dedication, offering a unique, nature-filled setting where each event becomes a memorable celebration deeply rooted in the venue’s storied past.

A HISTORIC VENUE WITH A LEGACY OF LOVE
Establishment of the Grist Mill
Originally constructed in the 1820s, the site began its storied life as a grist mill, harnessing the power of the Middle Tyger River to serve the local community. Over the years, it became a beloved landmark, setting the foundation for what would become a picturesque venue.
The Conservatory Era
In the early 1970s, Morgan Graham, a retired construction manager, purchased the property and transformed it into The Conservatory at Willow Creek. Under his stewardship, the venue flourished as a premier destination for weddings and events, celebrated for its stunning river views and expansive grounds.
The Zordan Revival
After the property fell into disrepair, Alan and Jennifer Zordan acquired it in 2022, drawn by its hidden potential and historic charm. They embarked on extensive renovations, rejuvenating the venue with modern amenities while preserving its rustic and historic essence, thus beginning a new chapter as The Venue at Ballenger Bridge.
